The Guest Hotel & Spa,Port Dickson
12:36 PMLast semester break I went to Port Dickson and though the trip was quite disappointing due to insufficient planning but I figure it'd be nice to at least share a bit of it so a hotel review will do :)
The hotel that I stayed at is The Guest Hotel & Spa,had quite a pleasant stay there.I booked the room using booking.com
User interface of the website is relatively clear and straightforward so booking over there wouldn't be much of a hassle, each to their own though.I booked weeks in advance and what I find very convenient is that you can cancel your booking immediately with no cost (except if you cancel a cancel on the days prior to your booking date then you'll be charged accordingly). Most prices aren't inclusive of 16% taxes so keep your eye on the details of the pricing if taxes are included or not and bring enough money during your check in because ATM is pretty much non existent in PD.Learnt it the hard way.
Following pictures are not in any specific order*
How the hotel looks at whole, quite neat.

Reception |
Lobby & convenience store |
Omelettes can be ordered from a stall located just outside the restaurant, probably they didn't want the restaurant to reek from all the smoke from cooking and frying.
Lounge area at 1st floor if I'm not mistaken |
Pool |
Clean |
View from lounge area |
Toilet beneath the pool area.Hmm not very fond of the size. |
Luckily their curtain covered the window very nicely and is made from thick material otherwise my sleeping hour wouldn't even make it pass 6am.So damn bright!!
Toilet's glass shelf & complimentary toiletries. |
Wished the towel was softer but beggars can't be choosers right? |
Shower Area |
Spacious sink which is very convenient to place toiletries etc |
Tea cups were stained yellowish!!! Had to wash it myself ~ |
Mini fridge beneath the area to make tea, don't know proper term for it so excuse me. |
Hiked a few miles to see the lighthouse and... *sighs*
and the pathway to the beach is so far away... plus it was scorching hot!
I took lrt to KL Sentral & switched to KTM and went all the way to Seremban (the whole trip took me an hour and a half).KTM fee was around RM5/6? Then took a bus from Seremban to Port Dickson.Bus fee was around RM4 per person? Can't recall the fees. Then I stupidly took a cab from the bus terminal to the hotel when I can actually stop the bus when it passed by my hotel.YES those buses will pass by an area where all the hotels are located at (the hotels are pretty close to each other, you can google map) then just ring the bus bell & take a walk to your hotel and save your cab money!
Bus station number from Seremban - Port Dickson |
How it looks inside the bus.. air conditioner was merely even cool and it's very shaky.
After checking out,I took the cab from hotel to bus terminal and took the bus to KLIA2. The bus stops to fetch roadside wayfarer like every 5 minutes *rolls eyes* ITS SO HOT IN THE BUS and at times the bus will be packed with students (during weekdays especially) so be cautious with your belongings and plan in advance if you were to catch a flight. My flight was scheduled on the next morning so I have all the time.It felt like forever in the bus on the way to the airport though.
That's basically it! Remember to pack one or two bottle of water along so you can keep yourself hydrated along the way & portable charger (powerbank!) just in case your phone/camera dies on you.Personal documents and belongings in your backpack or your purse then you should be good to go! Salut!
