Hello peeps! This is an long overdue post but better late than never right? If I'm not mistaken I visited Simplyd,Avenue K for the very first time on 11th of April I believe? What is memory anyways. I did some survey beforehand and review of this particular 'cafe' dare I say is quite convincing and the price is still acceptable in the reviews? (mainly because gst wasn't implemented yet when those review are written) Before I begin,there will be only one dish I'll talk about in this post because I was pretty sick by that time and my appetite was POOF gone!

As for the overall environment of the cafe I would say it's quite packed. Sadly I forgot to take a better picture from outside the cafe. Tables are relatively small and positioned side by side and if someone dine besides you it would feel as if you're sharing the table. Not quite sure if there is wifi though. The staff was polite and friendly but I did not quite enjoy it (plus I was sick so I wasn't in a good mood) when they talked & laughed super loud when they're preparing the food, made me think that they are seasoning my food with saliva. No offence though. It wasn't hot or cold at all in the cafe? Just so so la still bearable.


Ordered Carbonara with crispy turkey bacon & tea egg (with angelhair pasta/noodle). RM15.50
I'd rate this 4/10? The crispy turkey bacon tasted like nothing or maybe my taste bud wasn't at top notch by that time. Tea egg was overly cooked to the point the yolk turned grey and the egg white felt mushy. I loathe wild mushroom so seeing wild mushroom on top is a major turn off and it wasn't on the menu. The angelhair pasta/noodle was alright. Not much to say I just didn't like this at all. Was thinking of ordering a pavlova but somehow I changed my mind. Price wise, this particular dish is overly priced in my opinion plus what I've consumed is definitely not worthy at all.



 I couldn't finish it even though I forced myself to try to finish it. Too much for me to handle.

 GST is already included in the price stated on the menu.


In a nutshell, I didn't gain a pleasant experience dining there and most likely will never go back,just saying. Would I recommend? Not really but if you are up for some new adventure for your taste bud you can try because who knows you might like it better than I did? That's all and adios!
